Finding Satoshi is a feature documentary exploring the mystery behind Bitcoin’s anonymous creator and the global search to uncover their true identity.

How do I watch the film?

Finding Satoshi is available exclusively through our official website, findingsatoshi.com. After purchasing, you’ll receive a secure “magic link” by email that lets you stream the film directly in your browser. No app downloads required.

IMPORTANT You will receive two emails: 1) a purchase receipt from Shopify and 2) a separate email from info@findingsatoshi.com that contains your magic link.

PURCHASING & ACCESS
How do I rent the film?

Simply visit findingsatoshi.com, click “Pre-Order Now” (during pre-sale phase) or “Watch Now” (upon release) and complete the checkout. Once your rental is confirmed, we’ll email you your private viewing link.

IMPORTANT: Pre-sale purchases will not grant immediate access. You’ll receive your magic link on or before the official release date.

Is this a rental or do I own the film?

Your purchase provides rental access to stream Finding Satoshi for a limited viewing period. It does not grant ownership of the film or a downloadable copy.

Your rental window begins when you first press play and remains available for 48 hours. Once that viewing period expires, access will automatically end.

What is a magic link?

A magic link is a secure, personal streaming link sent to your email after purchase. Clicking it instantly signs you in and takes you to the film — no username or password needed.

I didn’t receive my magic link. What should I do?

Please try the following:

  • Check your spam or promotions folder
  • Search your inbox for “Finding Satoshi”

Can I watch on multiple devices?

Yes. You can use your magic link on supported devices from the same IP address, but it’s intended for personal use. Simultaneous playback on multiple devices may be limited. Your rental is non-transferable.

How long do I have access to the film?

Your rental period begins when you first start playback. Once started, you’ll have uninterrupted access for 48 hours.

Where is Finding Satoshi available?

Finding Satoshi is available for digital rental globally in countries where Shopify Payments and our streaming platform are supported. Availability may vary due to local laws, payment provider rules, or regional streaming restrictions. Streaming quality may vary depending upon the user’s device, connection, and network conditions.

If you are able to complete the checkout at findingsatoshi.com, the film is available to you in your region.

REFUND POLICY
Can I get a refund?

Because Finding Satoshi is a digital rental with immediate access upon release, all sales are generally final. Pre-sale purchases may be refunded prior to release, as noted below.

Pre-Sale Terms (Mar 11 - Apr 22, 2026)

If you purchase Finding Satoshi before its official release on April 22, 2026, your rental will be delivered via email on or before release day.

  • Pre-sale refunds are permitted only before the film becomes available. To request a refund prior to release, contact support with your purchase email.
  • Once the film is released, your pre-sale purchase converts into a standard 48-hour rental, and the normal refund policy applies.

However, we understand that issues can arise. Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may be granted in the following limited circumstances:

  • A verified technical issue prevents playback and cannot be resolved by our support team
  • An obvious duplicate purchase made in error

Refunds are not issued for:

  • Change of mind
  • Incompatibility with unsupported devices or browsers
  • Poor internet connectivity on the viewer’s end
  • Failure to watch within the rental window

If you believe you qualify for a refund, please contact support within 48 hours of purchase and include:

  • The email address used to purchase
  • A description of the issue
